About

From the age of about eleven I always wanted to travel overseas to see the wonders of our world and to meet people. For the last 41 years (33 of them with my gorgeous wife Karen) I’ve had the good fortune to visit over 50 countries and see some amazing sights and meet some wonderfully friendly people who have been great ambassadors for their countries. Now I have time to tell some of my travel stories. I hope you enjoy reading them as I enjoy reading about the journeys other bloggers take. For we are all Born to Travel. Cheers, Mark Allison

PS When not travelling we live on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. It’s a great place to visit. Come and see for yourself!

PPS If you have younger readers in your family they may enjoy my wife Karen’s blog for kids featuring the Woollee Green Sheep.

  1. Hello there you lucky travellers,
Loved your first message after you had landed as it sounds like an interesting place to visit. Sounds like you have settled in quite nicely and already struck up some friendships and people to talk to on your tour. Halfway through our holiday and have enjoyed the first part.
Keep on enjoying the travels and take care. Looking forward to hearing about your next adventure.

  3. Hi Mark and Karen,

    • Hi Vanessa and Chris plus Jerome,
Thanks for nominating my blog, Born To Travel, (markallison55) for the Bloggers Recognition Award. As it turns out I no longer use this site. So if it’s okay with you I am happy to accept your nomination but prefer to post about it on my new Born To Travel (borntotravel55) site. Let me know what you think. Cheers, Mark
