Mark with a
Sadhu at the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath

Our few days in Kathmandu have quickly passed. We have been to the amazing cultural city of Bhaktapur, wandered the intricate alleyways of central Thamel, eaten at a traditional Nepali restaurant which had the extra bonus of being entertained by a troupe of eight young female dancers and got to know our fellow trekkers. Yesterday we went to the confronting Hindu temple of Pashupatinath complete with public cremations along the Bagmati River. Then we saw the Bodhnath Stupa, the massive Buddhist temple and finished by stocking up on a few items at a trekking stall in Thamel. We fly out today to start our trek at 9:00 so with Internet access being limited to none we will seemingly be out of contact for the next ten days.
